Medicinal plants play great importance in the treatment and
prevention of diseases but also in the preservation of the general hygiene of
society. The use of these natural resources of humanity back to the earliest
human communities. They played as well an important role in the development of
traditional and modern societies. Countless research has been done and remains
to continue to discover and use their medicinal properties.What is striking is
that despite the ongoing efforts to this end, man is only able to use 70 000
